Through out the annals of history mankind has told of bad and frightening apparitions they called demons. Demons are detailed in the Merriam-Webster dictionary like an evil spirit that is a generator of big harm.

What are these beings? Do they actually exist; or are they simply superstitious notions of a by-gone era? The many accounts given by persons that have seen these beings leave little incertitude of their existence and accounts of attacks by unseen creatures remain even into the 21st century.

That type of account was established into a film in recent years, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, based on actual events. Emily Rose was plagued by unseen creatures who would not let her to eat weakening her body to the point of death. She spoke languages strange to her, and she would talk in voices not her own. She was put on anti-psychotic drugs that just made the problem worse. Eventually, after a lot of unfruitful attempts to exorcise the attacking spirits, she passed.

Most doctors and psychologists regard such issues as anything else than the delusions of a disturbed mind. However, stories of demons still continue. Persons who are plagued by these bad beings, have generally wanted help from their church just to be told they had to see a doctor.

A lot of individuals have wanted assistance from demonologists. They too have even asked for assistance to those who stick to the way of Wicca, or contacted a Native American medicine man. Ironically enough, it is through these very types of spiritualists that those harassed by these dark creatures have found the required release.

Our world has numerous levels, and the world we see with our restricted senses negates what lies underneath. Is there a dark world populated by hateful organisms who appear to detest our existence; which sole determination and delight is to possess, torment, and kill? Given that there are numerous registered stories verified by the Catholic church and other systems of belief it would as a matter of fact appear that a world populated by horrible organisms does exist.
